I'm with Dan here. Although it may make us look weak sometimes, we have to stick to our principles and try to keep the moral high ground. We have not destroyed Afghanistan, although we could in minutes. We are shipping food and supplies to Afghanistan, although we expect not even gratitude in return. And we will treat the bodies of those who did us grievous harm with respect, although it is a certainty that before the end of the year more than one of our fallen soldiers in Afghanistan will have been horribly mutilated and desecrated by our enemies. Is this weakness, or our greatest strength?
There is a world watching, and our civilized behaviour has to be making an impression on somebody, regardless of how much "Great Satan" propaganda has been pumped into their heads. God, at least I hope so.
