Al Gore
Despite all the politcal spins and labels Gore has been tagged with by his political opponents, he has been a steadfast backer of the military. He enlisted during Vietnam. He supported Bush the 1st in the Gulf War. Obviously he backed Clinton in Haiti, Bosnia and Kosova and now he backs Bush the 2nd in Afganistan. One can be pro-environment and support responsible government programs, and at the same time be pro-American. I feel an even more close political affinity to Gore now than I ever have.
