A lot of people have been phoning stuff in, and of course, most of it is nothing. But don't feel bad. There is a college near here that was saved from a Columbine-style attack when a one-hour-photo clerk noticed some photos coming out of the machine with a guy posing with guns and explosive devices. She called the cops, and this guy was hauled in and prevented from carrying out his plans.

She could have been looking in the other direction, or reading a magazine when the photos popped out.

She could have decided that it was none of her business, and that she was being paranoid.

One of my kids' friends went to this school.

Maybe as a libertarian I should be a little more creeped out by this paranoia, but at this stage it may be better to be safe than sorry.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean no one is after you.
