I know nobody here will believe this, but for the past few years, despite my occasional wiseass demeanor, I have paid attention to doing small courtesies in public, opening & holding doors, deferring to others, etc. I believe that a polite society helps us stay civilized.
This does not include my opponent in playing ball.
