AC-130 Gunships join the fight
According to this CNN report, Monday night marked the first use of AC-130 Spectre gunships. These aircraft can loiter over an area for hours, see anything that moves, and hit it with incredible accuracy. I've seen footage of the firepower these planes can put out. You definitely don't want to be one the receiving end.
