Suggestion: "Non sequitur"
Not a bad start, pointing out the significant questions being raised about US policy in Israel and Palestine. The congressperson's letter could have ended cleanly at its halfway point.
But it didn't - and in retrospect it seems the whole first half could have been meant to grab the prince's 'ear'; soften him up before giving him the touch - but what an amteurish job! No transition at all, no segue, just "bam!"
Probably either left the prince ROTFL, or staring at the letter, uttering the Arabic equivalent of "say WHAT?"
