Use of sodium pentothal with a judge's approval?
The FBI may want to do it, but they're not really considering it. It would require a change in the law and I don't think that's going to happen, even after the horrors of Sep. 11.
In reality there are very few countries where the rights of accused criminals are so scrupulously defended as the USA. In how many places in this world could you find a group accused of murdering 5,000 people, and possibly having knowledge of more attacks, held for 35 days WITHOUT being tortured?
