The only thing missing from this article is a Pulitzer-prize-winning picture of a badly burned Afghan girl running down a road. I can lay my hands on about thirty articles like this, showing the horrors that the Great Satan is visiting on the poor Afghan people.
Meanwhile, the cleanup goes on at Ground Zero, and for all that you hear on the news (besides anthrax making the media shriek like little girls) the entire World Trade Center operation might as well be happening on the far side of the Moon. Everything related to the attack: pictures of the collapses, articles on the bereaved, articles on the recovery crews, photos of the cleanup--all have been removed from our sight by the mainstream media. It would bother us, they say, and create unpleasant emotions.
At least on the Internet, the stories remain. Don't forget. The anger and horror that you felt was honestly earned. As I predicted here and here, there are many people--many in our own country--trying to drain that anger, and replace it with guilt and appeasement. Don't let them.
The propaganda battle heats up...
