<Meanwhile, the cleanup goes on at Ground Zero, and for all that you hear on the news (besides anthrax making the media shriek like little girls) the entire World Trade Center operation might as well be happening on the far side of the Moon. Everything related to the attack: pictures of the collapses, articles on the bereaved, articles on the recovery crews, photos of the cleanup--all have been removed from our sight by the mainstream media. Here in the Heartland of MidAmerica, we still get the daily feed from Ground Zero through our local media, though anything involving footage from the site is generally saved for the 11:00 PM coverage. Really sorry this may not be the norm out there. On the whole, I see them as being relatively respectable people (yeah, I know -- they’re reporters). I’ve spoken with 2 of our local anchors, and I’m satisfied that they are, at the very least, human in appearance.
... there are many people--many in our own country--trying to drain that anger, and replace it with guilt and appeasement. Don't let them.
Can’t happen, Tom,
