But I do remember Clinton asking for money to improve embassy security, and for counter-terrorism, and being given a hard time by some members of the Congress. I intend to look up the records on that and work to seek the replacement of all of those who made that completely irresponsible decision -

PS - While I can appreciate the concerns about bureaucracy, I don't think people are going to stand for airport security being put into the hands of the low bidder - not now

For that matter, I think Bush Jnr should immediately call up the National Guard to do airport baggage checks and ride as armed sky-marshalls on every flight for the duration. Our lines of communication are being hit, and it may be necessary for him to call them out to man some mail facilities as well -
