The french and British were reluctant to attack the Germans across the frontier, to the extent that they did not even mine the Rhine river, allowing German river traffic to move safely.
Of course the Germans were very appreciative of this as it made their invasion of the Low Countries and France that much more efficient.
I don't think we are making that mistake.
I think we are beating the snot out of the Taliban, and we will see results of this soon.
