The hijackers trained in non-accredited programs, learning flight systems, etc. This type of education is readily available to anyone who wants it, in just about any subject imaginable. I remember as far back as 1995 hearing about websites that provided detailed information on how to build an atomic bomb, or "12 easy steps to taking over the world"....
There are courses offered in general subjects:
1. List of Classes
...as well as advanced subjects:
2. Space Courses
3. Professional Development Courses
Software companies do the same thing, training employees of other companies to use their product. This has nothing to do with the public education system, with community colleges, or universities.
Sure, people need training to remain competitive, and many never graduated from university (including myself), but the proliferation of knowledge is what was used against us.
Increasing the general knowledge of the population has enormous benefits, but I repeat that it was used against us. Even those who graduated legitimately are not necessarily good people - I have never seen a greater concentration of hatred and angst anywhere but a university campus for example.
How should we tackle this problem?
