One tactic we were warned about was being hit with an odorless "puking agent", a chemical to induce vomiting so you have to remove your mask, followed by nerve gas or mustard gas. The puking agent could even be absorbed through the skin. It took a pretty sick minded person to think up that one.

But then, there's no shortage of evil minded people when it comes to weapons design and use. Who thought up the "Bounding Betty" - a landmine that jumps up before exploding to kill the maximum number of people? I'm pretty sure the German Army was the first to use this one. George Carlin had a pretty funny routine some years ago about the guy who invented the flame thrower. The Claymore mine isn't very funny, either.
