<The use of pressure tactics, including torture by proxy, not only renders evidence obtained inadmissible in court.
who said anything about a court? The whole notion of courts is wartime is an abomination, ever since the dog and pony show of the nuremburg trials. They weren't 'real' trials, everyone knew the outcome. This is the big difference, we are at WAR. War is a game wher not only is your life and your families life are at stake, it is a game where your way of life is at stake.
I don't care about the evidence being used agaisnt people in a court of law a court is beside the point, I only care about that evidence being used to save another 5000+ people from dieing, to use it to prevent a suitcase nuke going off in seatle, or a 747 crashing into the whitehouse or the capitol building. I know this is a difficult time, and a lot of people can't adapt mentaly to realize that in a time like this it is imorral NOT to subject people ot torture. Let me tell you, every service man or woman knows that if they are captured they will be tortured, and every leader knows that if thier troops are tortured the truth will come out eventually, it is a given. There is no doubt about it. Under the right methods of torture everyone will give, its only matter of time and pain.
Next let me tell you something about 'rules for war time', and what an abomination they are. The whole idea is an oxymoron. Any country that starts a war (we did not start this war) is breaking a moral law, and thus to expect them to follow any ruels such as that is absurd. Heres a quick test, name for me a war in which both sides followed all rules of the geneva convention and where prisoners weren't tortured. . . . . go ahead.
. . . I'll be wating.
Ok, and of these wars, if one side followed through not torturing and following all geneva convention rules, they were probably the 'good guys'. So we can conclude that all the idealistis 'rules for war' only hinder the side that we all want to win.
Well I want to win, I want to do so with the least casualties on my side, and I want my way of life to be returned when it is all over. So be damned with the the enemy, run a line from ear to ear and turn up the juice.
But I can still hear it, the center of new york city is devastated with 5,000 deaths and the pentagon is attcked with hundreds more killed and someone is standing around screaming "btu these perpetrators have right!", letters are sent out in a bioattack against us (unsuccessfully) and someone is screaming "they have rights, if we give in our way of life is gone", a suitcase nuke goes off in Washington, killing millions and removing it from the map "these guys have rights!!!!!", smallpox is released killing half of the united states population . . . I can still see some ragged mad lunatic standing on the rubble of what used to be america pleading these bastards have some sort of right not to be subjected to every bit of tortured they are would like to do to us. . . oh but we perserved our way of life(?) and didn't resort to their tactics, so in the end we're still the good guys. . . if you're still a live go a head and give yourself a pat on the back.
Simple truth is all rules went to shit when this happened

And the next time 5,000 or 100,000 or even millions+ are killed by this, the next time masses of people are crushed, beaten, burnt aspyxiated and incinerated to death in the heart of america, I hope you can live with yourself long enough to realize that the slightest shred of intelligence info from the perps of the last attack could have prevented it.
but of course thats just my opinion. . .
