I agree absolutely that we want to do this the absolutely most effecient way. As few troups and as few losses, as possible. But I don't think that Afganistan military strategy should dictate our "war against terrorism" strategy - especially the diplomatic parts.

I think we should be nailing down committments and trumpeting them to the world as instantly and as often as we can. We need to make it obvious to the world that this is not just USA vs. Bin Ladin. We need to show the world who exactly this coalition is, and how committed are its members. Until a country says we will send x number of our boys to die for this cause, it's just words in the news.

I think the administration has done a poor job of this.
