I am trying to confirm/contradict some allegations made by opponents of the war in Afghanistan:

1. Withholding evidence of Osama bin Ladin's guilt for the Sept.11 attacks is against the law. As such the US gov't has broken the law.

2. The current situation in Afghanistan has been war-gamed by the Pentagon since 1997.

3. Just before September 11, two US Aircraft carriers arrived in the Persian Gulf simultaneously.

4. Just before September 11, the UK had put together what was billed at the "largest armada since the Falklands War" and had it steaming towards Oman, where 23,000 UK troops were on maneuvers. This had been planned for at least 3 years.

5. The US "Bright Star" operation is going on in Egypt. 23,000 US troops plus an additional 17,000 from NATO and its associates. This had been planned at least two years.

6. NATO recently landed 12,000 troops into Turkey. This had been planned for at least two years.

The jist of this is that the Sept.11 attacks are the work of the US military. Does anyone have a website(s) where I can find info on military operations, movements of troops over the past couple years? And especially the first point - can anyone show that the US has not broken the law?
