Yes, Hillary Clinton says in this bit in Newsmax.com.

The direct quote given in Newsmax:

"If we hadn't passed the big tax cut last spring, that I believe undermined our fiscal responsibility and our ability to deal with this new threat of terrorism, we wouldn't be in the fix we're in today," Clinton told CNN's Jonathan Karl.

It seems fairly convincing that she actually said something like this, considering the quote marks, but given our newfound caution in the wake of the Bill Clinton speech incident, we should maybe reserve judgement until a complete transcript is available. After all, Newsmax is a right-wing site, and we know how THEY are.

Her daughter Chelsea also seems obsessed with tax cuts vis-a-vis terrorism. The New York Post printed an article on Nov. 9 (unfortunately pay-per-view on the Web) that said:

"Chelsea Clinton says she spent the nightmarish day of the Twin Towers attacks in complete mental chaos - roaming the city, obsessing over President Bush's tax refunds and rattling off nursery rhymes in her head."
