There were websites that detailed the physics of nuclear weapons. I suspect these partially burnt nuclear weapons documents were probably hard copy downloads from one of those websites.

Anyone serious about a home made terrorist nuke would not fiddle around with an implosion type bomb (too hard to make). They would have gone straight to a gun type bomb which is very low tech.

The real thing to worry about is one of those terrorist bastards purchasing a working ex-Soviet nuclear weapon. On that subject, this recent announcement by Bush and Putin to reduce strategic nuclear weapons by two thirds is fabulous news. We really don't need more than 2000 warheads to defend the United States. Anymore than that really reduces national security through the possibility of a nuclear accident or theft.
