Two quick points, and a comment
1) Hardly anyone ever accurately predicts the future.
2) This conflict is far from over.
Remember, this war is not against the Taliban so much as it is against global terrorism. The conflict in Afghanistan is merely one front in the current war. Recall that the attack against the WTC did not occur in Afghanistan.
How this will all ultimately play out is anyone's guess. Some people get paid to guess, others not.
