<and why do I get the feeling that those NA prison guards were hired by the same firm that puts those minimum-wage flunkies at the Logan Airport checkpoints, the ones who wouldn't notice if you walked past them carrying an Uzi??

For the port guards in the good ol' US of A (or at the very least the system their superiors vouch for), there is simply little excuse, and even less if a hi-jacking occurs, and absolutely none if lives are lost as a result. Incompetence, however, is what this politically correct nation of ours seems to hope for these days. The observer is always better than the practitioner.

Funny how tight those moccasins seem to get after the first mile...

As for the NA, it's difficult to get the training required when your entire way of life and your very nation is at war. Revolutionaries seldom know what they're doing -- other than the right thing.
