Combat Control
The Airforce guys in there were probably 'Combat Control'. They are cosidered special forces and their job is to direct airstrikes from the ground and act as airtraffic controlers on newly captured airfeilds. For Example there was a combat controler taking part in the botched seal raid to capture Noreggas plane at a Panama airport. (I say botched because the seals suffered a lot of casualties, though they did accomplish their mission).
