Air power doesn't work
Have we not heard this for years? I remember back in the 1980s hearing some troops from other services pointing out that "We've never won a war as long as we've had an Air Force."
Speaking as a former Army paratrooper and Air Force officer, I know that air power alone doesn't work. However, decisive use of air power makes it much easier and less costly, in both blood and treasure, to send in the ground troops afterwards.
Nope, air power doesn't work. Or does it?
