Re: Why conservatives don't trust scientists

I saw this Thursday onPsyPost and it bugged me a little bit. It specifically stated that conservative trust in science has fallen drastically.

I consider myself a conservative and I also trust science implicitly but as your citation suggests it is not science that is not trusted by me but those who use science. This is often scientists but non-scientists also misstate and misuse science .

The difference is indeed important, whether one is conservative or not.

Maybe I am not as conservative as the sample in the original paper and maybe I no longer pass the litmus test for being conservative in a conservative milieu that sometimes seems to be dominated by religious fundamentalists.

As I have often said, neither side seems to suit me but I still find the classic liberal image more distasteful than than my personal image of conservatism
