All I have done from the beginning is post articles without comment. Go right through all of them and try to find any personal opinion anywhere. As to hating America I lived there for 3 years and was intending to become a citizen.
Your problem is essentially not whether some foreigner posts articles but who is writing the articles and who owns the newspapers. Virtually all of the ones I have posted are American. The enemy you perceive then is inside your own borders.
If you or others believe "either you are with the republicans or you are with the terrorists" then you have the problem of what to do about dissent. In other words you have to either "sh*t or get off the toilet".
America has for the most part functioned as a balance of left and right wing ideas. Currently many people there believe the right wing is attempting to dominate, perhaps to the point of attempting a right wing dictatorship and some say that has already occured. Virtually all that are saying this are Americans themselves.
If it is going to become a right wing dictatorship then the point becomes how far does the country go to do this? Does it model itself on other countries such as in South America where the US has supported similar governments?
If it starts using torture how far does it go? Electricity to the genitals, etc?
If it brings in summary execution by the military of foreigners what does it do about its own dissidents? Right wing death squads roaming the US? Does it train these in the School of the Americas where it trained so many other foreign death squad members?
If Al Quaeda was posting anthranx in the US lots of terrible things were threatened. What do you do if Americans like the Army of God were doing it? If you were intending to take in over a thousand foreigners with no habeaus corpus and other rights do you start concentration camps for Americans to cut the chances some more of them are planning large scale anthrax attacks?
How does it stop articles such as the ones I've posted? One would have to suspend the right to free speech, assassinate journalists, etc. I doubt some journalists would shut up with anything short of this, so once again you have to either do something aobut dissent or not. These same articles are being posted by thousands of Americans and being discussed on bulletin boards all over the US. Millions of Americans are subscribing to their newspapers!
What if these dissidents get together and when enough votes to get a non right wing president in? What do you do then? What do you do to people like Daschle or Leahy who oppose the right wing policies? How do you shut them up?
Maybe it is time for the US to become a right wing dictatorship like so many people seem to be saying. If it is, a lot of people with nationalist ideas will have to decide how important it is to them that the country is run their way. What do you do with the people who don't like it, put them in camps?
As to which way the US should go I have no personal opinion. I will say again though that of all these postings none of them are my ideas. All I have done is posted a representation of what Americans are saying about their government policies. Your argument isn't with me, it's with them, and in the final analysis what are you going to do about them, not me. As I have said before I don't just post softballs. Some of these are hard questions and opinions that don't fit into people's world views are sometimes hard to accept. The question is whether one can refute them or only ignore them.
While it might seem logical to go down this path because of the terrorist attacks one has to remember that virtually every right wing dictatorship the US has either set up or supported did so because of terrorist attacks in those countries. Perhaps the US has learned that democracy doesn't work any more for them because of terrorism just as Nicuragua learned with Somoza.
Maybe democracy will die out in the world because of terrorism, who knows?
