From the Washington Post.
This treaty ceased to make any sense years ago, if it made sense at all.
The Democrats, who have been looking for a Bush weakness like sharks trying to find a hole in a shark net, are going to leap at this. Their superbly trained buttmonkeys in the media and academia will be right behind them.
It's going to be rough on Bush, but guess what? I predict that the whole thing is going to backfire on the left big time. Any bets?
All the people screaming about its infeasibility and inaccuracy are barking up an empty tree. Remember, a missile defense only has to work ONCE in its entire lifetime to justify its existence. All the rest of the phoney statistics are irrelevant.
Oh, by the way, in case you hadn't heard about this on the network news, the reduction in total warheads is proceeding nicely. Reducing warheads is a natural outcome of increasing nuclear defenses, since the MAD policy is no longer valid. Of course, some deterrent will always be required, but a thousand or so warheads should more than suffice for this.
YES!!! ABM Treaty Heading For Dumpster
