A plague on both their houses
The Palestinians are badly served by Arafat. However Arafat maybe doing the best that the Palestinian political process can allow (which is pretty awful). However I feel embarassed for the Israelis having a guy like Sharon as their prime minister. I remember years ago, him talking about "cleansing" Lebanon of Palestinians. That sort of language is more appropriate for an officer of the SS than a Jewish politician. The Israelis and Palestinians now seem locked into an endless cycle of mindless violence. IMHO, there are no good guys here.
