Just one thing bothers me, though. Why do you bother to point out that he's a "young, black male"?? What difference does that make? Does that somehow change or enhance the henious nature of his crime?? No.
Just punish the guilty, in a fair and evenhanded "blind" manner, for committing horrible crimes - don't unneccesarily draw attantion to irrelevant details that just open up bitter racial arguments. It's highly counterproductive.
