The most common collectivist tactic for gaining control of humanity is to slip the chains and manacles onto you in the guise of some beneficial action. Attempts along these lines happen here in the U.S. practically every month (nationalized health care was a recent prime example) and the Democratic Party, although the main culprit in our present government, is certainly not alone in this.
If the U.N. actually ends up proposing this, this alone would be reason enough to deport the entire United Nations dungsack into some Third World hellhole.
