Sorry, but the purpose is no long the dissemination of news, but the gathering of money. The news media is propagating "fringe" nonsense completely as expected. This is called sensationalizing non-events for purely monetary gain.

Amazing what the hardliners supposedly learned from the National Enquirer-style journalists. If there's a buck to be had, and someone else is getting it, the industry MUST be doing something wrong. To hell with facts. Let's start using guesswork instead of evidence, and rumor instead of news.
