Walker's crimes can't be excused as foolish, youthful indiscretions

What Helen Thomas doesn't understand is that Walker's offenses are fundamentally different from a young person committing foolish mistakes and breaking laws relating to alcohol, pot, other substance abuse. This is a hell of a lot more serious. This is War, against a dangerous, fanatical enemy sworn to America's destruction.

Johnie Walker consciously choose his party, and his side, in this War. He was old and mature enough to know what he was doing, and to know that his chosen party is committed to destroy America. Now he has to live, or die, with the consequences.

I'd like to see Walker tried, convicted, and executed for treason, but I really wouldn't object to other possible solutions. Perhaps he should be striped of his US citizenship, barred from ever setting foot on US soil again, turned over to the new Afghan government, and let them do whatever they want with him. Throw him in a hole in the ground in a filthy prison in a desolate corner of Afghanistan, and just let the bastard rot. Works for me.
