Ultimately, OBL is unimportant
It is very difficult to track down single individuals whose primary objective is to avoid capture. Those with financial resources and who only want to live out their lives (ie Nazi war criminals) can escape into a big world.
Those who continue to ply their trade (ie Che' Guevara), usually wind up dead or captured.
A life on the run, unable to pursue his dream is tough punishment for OBL. I would like to see him caught but the point is not him. It is the organization and the ideology that must be obliterated.
We will be fighting this war for the next 50 years.
