Lieberman is simply too boring, lacking in charisma, to be a Presidental candidate. In the 2000 campaign he always looked, well, so "Vice-Presidental". And in terms of the religious issue, you do have to acknowledge that we're come a long way. We're a lot closer to seriously considering electing a Jewish man, or woman, President today than we were in past years. And on the issue of social progress I truly believe that Colin Powell could get himself elected as the President of the USA if only he wanted the job. Maybe in 2008. Maybe in 2004 Cheney will retire and Powell will move up to the VP post.
I'd bet on John Kerry of Massachusetts to be the Democratic sacrifical lamb in 2004. A highly intelligent, attractive, well spoken war hero who unfortunately happens to be a liberal from the most liberal state. By 2004 the economy will be back in full swing, we'll still be very much at war against Islamic terrorists and united behind our Commander in Chief, and Bush won't make the mistakes in domestic policy his father made. It won't even be close.

I doubt if Holy Joe would get the nomination
