An Unsinkable Nation

<...Anyway, I fear that the Trade Center will not be rebuilt, certainly not on the scale it was, and that, my friends, is where the true tragedy of September 11, 2001, resides.

The United States of America is grand nation, formed by those who pulled up stakes and moved to a better land for a better life. Our expressions are formed on a grand scale, and to be anything less would be, well, less than what we are -- less than what we could be. To allow a terrorist organization to cow this nation down 107 floors to street level is to whip a person for daring look to the heavens, reaching for something better.

I could not agree more with this sentiment. We should build something immense, another heart of free commerce in New York City. If I had anything to say about it, the towers would be even higher. Don't listen to those who don't feel that "business" should be conducted here. "Business," or the free trade of individuals with each other, is a large part of what this country is about.

Should there be a memorial built into this site? Of course, but only as a part of the larger purpose. I like the idea of using the original Sphere as part of this.
