Just saying that when you're in the wrong place at the wrong time, bad things happen, and no human law can save you.
The laws of physics might you:
* assailant's gun jams
* high winds knock a chimney brick loose, killing the assailant
The laws of nature might you:
* assailant backs into a bee hive
* assailant steps on a sidewinder
The law of self-preservation might save you:
* intended victim leaves the scene before things get out of hand
* intended victim is packing, and lets the assailant know two or three point-blank times
Nobody can be everywhere, but it's funny how folks keep popping up there. Some places and some activities are simply best avoided. For many it's a survival instinct. For the others, well -- living by the sword may provoke a death by the sword (old reference to the fact that dangerous activities are -- dangerous).
