>"Crime is no more brutal in Texas than elsewhere, and murderers kill their victims no deader."
Of course you are correct, its just seems that way because people from Texas talk funny and their mothers dress them funny.
>"Considering a person's unpopular opinions about someone as an aggravating factor is a slippery slope that endangers us all."
I am not sure what you are trying to say here. I am truly sorry if you feel endangered.
>"And your claim that you would do something rough to the perps seems a rather easy way to get out from under the fact that you know this post was aimed at you specifically because of your cheap shot about starched sheets."
As a compassionate liberal, I wanted to protect those that might be irritated or chaffed during their after dark perambulations. You aren't telling me that possible reference to the Klan causes you a personal discomfort? Does the fruit fall too close to the tree perhaps?
My personal views on crime and punishment have been developed by education and honed by direct experience in the criminal justice system. FYI, I don't have to look for the "easy way to get out from under" under any circumstances.
