These events have happened over a period of years

and contrary to popular believe, not every news story ever published is available on the web. There are other sources like Nexus but they charge for their services. Furthermore, not every one of these incidents gets widely reported by the Press as a news article, so sometimes the only source is an op-ed piece.

Heckling a speaker is an expression of free speech. However, when it becomes part of an organized campaign to silence a speaker or point of view, then that is denial of free speech to others. It's kind of like the saying, "Your right to swing your arm ends at my nose."

Incidents like the mass trashing or burning of newspapers (like at Cornell and other universities) or books because of a dislike for a political viewpoint should chill you to your bones. If that isn't a replay of Nazi book burnings, I don't what is.

"First they burn books; next they will burn people."
- Erich Kästner
