I wonder, Larry, if that includes inflammatory remarks made outside of the courtroom and subsequent to the conclusion of legal proceedings.
Just being a judge doesn't entitle a person to shoot off his mouth at will. To say publicly "Get over it" to a 14-year-old rape victim in a public forum like a newspaper after the trial was concluded and sentence passed, as a reaction to criticism for his decision, may very well be outside the sovereign immunity issue. He's a judge, not a psychoanalyst, and his "expert opinion" doesn't extend to what she should and should not "get over".
I hope somebody tries suing him. He deserves all the negative consequences of his actions that can be meted out to him.
