"With all due respect" tends to mean something else sometimes.
And "My friend". I used to work with an older fellow on a construction crew. He was a very hard worker, and sneaky. A favorite with the owner, when he started calling a new guy "my friend" you knew the fellow was going to get it. Don't trust "my friend".
Politicians saying, "The people of my district will no longer tolerate", or "The people of my district insist on - - - - ". You know smoke is being blown, hard.
"Well, excuuuuse me! I'm sorry, but - - - -." No one is sorry.
