As for what he's saying, well, while it's true that no one from the government asked me directly whether I concur with the war on terrorism or the way it's being waged, I can at any time correspond with my representative, or write a letter to my local newspaper, or email the White House for that matter.

And after all, we elected an administration to govern us, not to ask us what to do at every turn. They make enough choices that everyone will inevitably agree with some decisions and disagree with others. Every government does things which the electorate does not directly authorize...isn't that just part and parcel of being governed?
