Even worse...

Take a look at this article on CNN's website. It concerns a large poll of Muslims (9,924 residents of Pakistan, Iran, Indonesia, Turkey, Lebanon, Morocco, Kuwait, Jordan and Saudi Arabia).

"Sixty-one percent said they did not believe Arab groups carried out the September 11 terrorist attacks."

This would explain the serious number of whack-job conspiracy theories, like the planes were flown into those buildings by remote control by the US government. Yes, that one is out there.

"Of those surveyed, 67 percent saw the September 11 attacks as morally unjustified, while 15 percent of the respondents said they were morally justified. But 77 percent said the U.S. military action in Afghanistan was morally unjustified, compared with 9 percent who said it was morally justified."

So, 77% of those surveyed believe we're morally unjustified for responding to an attack that killed about 3,000 of our people? Do they have a serious disconnect with reality or what? Frankly, articles like this tend to make me believe this article is right on the money.
