You are right about Musharraf, Matt. He has even arranged a person to person meeting with Mrs. Pearl to give his respects.

Regarding that Gallup poll:

Do you remember how, shortly after the attacks, most of the people in those countries were shown on tv as hailing OBL as a hero? On camera, most were almost laughing as they expressed their 'hate' for the West. How could the numbers now show that he and other Arabs/Muslims weren't involved?

Bush said today that he is eager to prove them wrong. How will he do that? How will this message get accross to the people? He will have to go through their leaders first. Seems to me that Arabia, et al, is just wanting change and this is their way of getting the message accross. They (the leaders, teachers, mullahs....) really should look within their own countries in order to actually change things for the better.
