Democrats playing politics with their criticisms of the war effort. Not by criticizing it per se but by being disingenuous.
Look here...
"Sen. Robert C. Byrd (D-W.Va.), chairman of the Appropriations Committee, grilled top defense officials at a budget hearing about the lack of an "exit strategy" in Afghanistan, their failure to capture al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, and a widening global campaign against terrorists that seems to have "no end in sight." "
Meanwhile, last time I looked we're STILL in Bosnia. Where's THAT outcry? Oh wait, that was a Democratic President who got us in there. You know, Bosnia where we put US citizens in harm's way to save Muslim lives.
Byrd, Meehan and others have a concern about the bill for the war. That's reasonable if sincere. But so far all they're doing is whining about expenditures and not being constructive. We have been fortunate that these Al Quaeda losers have not been successful in follow up terror attacts. One reason they have not is that Rumsfeld has them constantly on the run. We stop and let them re-group and who knows?
