This is true, but it’s not a problem with the school systems -- per se... Some of the teachers, on the other hand, could use counseling -- such as those in the late 70s/early 80s who insisted that role-playing games (D&D) are educational(??), and the social courses high schools allow their students to elect into (more to kill time and keep the kids off the streets than anything else) need serious supervision. These courses include, btw, the Science Fiction and Fantasy Literature classes. With improper instruction, even Greek and Norse mythology classes could turn into gatherings of worship.
