This guy scares me.....anyone who's beliefs are THAT strong and is driven by religion scares me. Especially if they're making the laws.

I think you're missing the point. The guy wrote this ascerbic piece to prove how really "out there" the attorney general really is. Anyone who covers up a 70 year old statue because he finds it offensive WHEN IT REPRESENTS TRUTH AND JUSTICE AND WHAT HE STANDS FOR, is a freekin nutcase in my book! And breaking out into a song about patriotic eagles soaring that he wrote himself.....well, if YOU think he's okay then..............

I found the writer MADE HIS POINT and did so hilariously. Ashcroft draws more negative attention to himself and his fear of sexuality by COVERING that statue, next thing you know he'll want nudity banned everywhere!
What this guy needs is a couple of good drinks and a Monica Lewinsky all of his own.
