<...10 Million illegal aliens in California alone are not paying TAXES on their income - and the government sees no reason why they should get a free CA education, medical assistance and then avoid tax day?
I do not think this is totally true, unless the 10 million you refer to is a percentage of a whole. I cannot locate any data on short notice that doesn't have a political agenda tied to it, and I get answers that go radically in opposite directions. In particular, no two sources agree on how much taxes they pay, or whether they pay more than the value of services received. Obviously, data on this is not easy to come by.
The following is a guess based on common sense: I'm sure many illegals are working "under the table" for cash, and pay no taxes. Certainly many take advantage of our social services without paying taxes. But I would bet that many are also getting taxes, and particularly Social Security, withheld from wages before they ever see it. If they are in a low tax bracket, they would normally get a refund, but obviously they can't file a tax return, and end up seeing the money eaten.
There are more important reasons that a general amnesty should NOT be generated. It sets a precedent that will break down our borders entirely, and although this may be a libertarian ideal, in the real world of the welfare state there are many reasons this is a bad idea.
