Actually Ashcroft has a solid case here. It seems Mark Furman was walking by the cell and saw the attorney accidently drop a glove that had a slip of paper in it.
He had to jump over a desk in the corridor of the jail to retrieve said glove, but he was just doing this to be of service to this lady lawyer. The fact that he turned over the damaging note to John Ashcroft was an issue that will require a side-bar at the trial.
I understand Marsha Clarke has entered the picture as a book agent and is also in negotiation for the book rights.
There is no truth to the street rumor that Strom Thurmond has been contracted to play Sheik Rachman.
It is confirmed that Ashcroft has demanded it be a musical and he be given a singing part.
This should be an interesting trial and Ashcroft is somewhat premature in attempting to put this one in the win column just yet.
