This header is getting almost as irritating as "give a high school kid a reason to care..."
1. The U.N. is packed solidly with and the agenda controlled by nations who are not exactly friends of Israel.
2. If you can come up with any tactical mechanism that the U.N. can use, and the Israeli Army can't, to prevent kids from sneaking across the border and blowing somebody up, I would really love to hear it. Exactly what is the U.N. supposed to actually DO there? I think we all know that the end result would be a bunch of blue helmets standing around in clumps, preventing any overt military acts (what Israel does) while covert military missions like suicide bombers (what Palestinians do) move through the U.N. lines like water through a seive.
But then that's the whole idea, isn't it?
