<Germany says no more weapons for you...
Germany has "a duty" to support Israel, and Israel "has high expectations of Germany," Zalmon Shoval, an adviser to Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, said Monday in a German radio interview.
Yeah right. Give me a break. The surviving Nazis are dead and buried or in rest homes with walkers and hearing aids set on maximum.
This is just like reparations for the slaves - they beat you over the head with it like a club - it becomes an ENTITLEMENT.
The Germans owe nothing to Israel. When you hear this type of thing you get sick to your stomach.
"Don't you dare criticize us as we slaughter civilians...remember the holocaust!"
Yes, we remember it all too well. Unfortunately, Israel uses it as some sort of pass to be just like Nazis and worse - worse because this is now a much later date and ignorance, prejudice and willful cruelty are not expected to thrive and be institutionalized at the highest parts of national governments.
If Germany doesn't want to sell Israel weapons - thats tough. They make the weapons - they can sell them to who they see fit. If Israel is expecting to be treated as the world's largest "civilized" handout nation - then they have to kowtow to the one's supplying them arms and money for next to nothing or free - or get off their duffs and actually build something or provide a useful commodity.
It's not 1948. It's not even 1980. It's 2002. How long does Israel expect Germany to have "a duty" to Israel? In 2020? In 2050? in 2450?
But sharp criticism of Israel is coming from the conservative opposition, the same parties that rarely wavered from Israel's side when they were in power under former Chancellor Helmut Kohl.
Hmmm? I wonder why?
Perhaps they see how Israel, under Sharon, is purposely destabilizing the region for to sustain its title as "king of the barbaric states."
Perhaps these nations' intelligence on the ground and in the air shows what's going on. Israel seems to have forgetten we have satellites that can realtime image the activities of their military, just as we monitor Iraq and other mid-east states. When they blow up a house, a watermain or blow a young girls head off - we can see it realtime - and keep score.
So when suddenly Sharon, who already has some 7500 deaths on his hands, seems intent to add a few more thousand to the toll and pull some sort of 21st century bloodbath encore...it's not surprising even the stalwart Israel supporters cringe and see Israel really destroying itself.
Sharon's little power-trip - and make no doubt about it that's ALL it is - is not pleasing the real powers that be - who manufacturer the weapons, the planes and the money.
A jew doing a poor imitation of Hitler and hoping that all the world's jews, due to some religious solidarity, will blindly follow in the loyal pack and fall in line behind him, is not only ironic - but in the 21st century - not going to be supported anymore.
Dusting off the old reliable holocaust and buying first class tickets for the guilt trip, as has been done for over half a century, and bringing it out - can't whitewash the present atrocities. Claiming global anti-semitism doesn't quite work as well as they would like either- because the usual stalwarts who normally help others to look the other way for the small petty offenses are now the loudest critics.
And unlike the US anti-terrorist efforts, which are attacking the funding mechanisms, specialized training camps and facilities producing WOMD, this is like blowing up your neighbors backyard gazebo - and expecting not to be retaliated against. The US doesn't go after terrorists in Canada or Mexico for the same reason.
Yes, Israel's borders are completely porous. As long as they need to export slave labor, they must admit a high number of Palestinians and "inferior" arabs into their midst.
Using the Palestinians for the "dirty" work is almost laughably similar to the way Egypt kept the jews as handy slave labor.
Yes, Arabic anti-semitism is now equally matched by Zionist anti-palestinianism.
And Sharon thought now was a good time to get away with this monument to excessive force - since the US was going on an anti-terrorist sweep. He hoped we would all look aside as he helped "punish" the palestinian people for the suicide bombers.
Well it ain't gonna work.
Kohl's one-time labor minister, Norbert Bluem, recently accused Israel of a "war of extermination" — a term Germans usually associate with the Holocaust and the killing of 6 million Jews. His letter to the Israeli ambassador was leaked to the media.
And when mealy-mouthed Germany, land of a thousand and one holocaust memorials, starts to call Israel's actions a "war of extermination" - watch out - it mean's it's actually far, far worse than anyone imagines.

Ironically, I am one of those who has always supported Israel strongly - and because I can see what Sharon is doing - I find myself in the unusual position of having to protest loudly.
This really bothered me too...
Booing Wolfowitz And if one needs an admission of wrongdoing and hypocrisy - when Dick Gephardt tells you he will rally around your cause - what does that tell you?
"war of extermination" - Bluem
