If the only way that Israel is going to agree to a massive UN deployment to the West Bank and Gaza is if the US participates in it, should we do it?

No doubt that the US is suffering economic consequences from the current chaos there, along with every other country on this planet. The US also
pays large amounts of defense money to be prepared for possible consequences arising from the Israeli/Palestinian conflict getting worse.

If Israel's actions after its invasion of Lebanaon serve as any indicator of its future plans, after Israel's current invasion is completed and it has withdrawn its troops, we can expect the current government Israel to further expand its settlements. Future settlement activity in Arab East Jerusalem is of particular concern, and this may lead to most dire consequences both for Israel and well as for its strongest (and sole) supporter, the US.

Of course, such a deployment itself is not without risk, but is this risk lower than that of doing nothing?
