Bush Jr's "vision" for the Israel and Palestine

When Bush Jr uses the "vision" word, it is significant.

When Bush Jr backed the UN resolution for 2 states, he simply publicly agreed with what has been US policy since 1948. Israelis here, Palestinians here.

Sharon has been dismantling the Palestinian Authority since he got into office, and the UN passage of Bush Jr's resolution was the trigger for the latest attacks.

What is Powell going to do? Not resign, as some would hope. Bush Jr wouldn't allow him to, as Powell's thinking reflects his own.

What is the US going to do? I don't know, but my guess is that the US is going to do is demand specifics for a final peace agreement from Sharon.

I don't think that Bush Jr is going to allow himself or his administration to come under slow eroding attack from those who would urge that Israel seize the West Bank and Gaza. I don't know this, but it is my estimate as to his character.
